I received a call last week from someone who had seen my TEDx talk and was wondering about becoming a client. She wasn’t sure if her husband would want to come along too so I suggested that he could read my book first as an introduction to my approach and to help him decide.
I was thrilled to receive this email a couple of days later:
… Your book is so timely for our situation at home – with the focus on self-esteem. I was struck by your pie chart exercise as to where we currently get our self-esteem and where we might want to get it in future – a a bit of a rebalancing exercise. I think that is what my husband and I need, a bit of a re-balancing exercise. He is genuinely interested in reading the book too and I think we will start with a DIY re-balancing discussion using your book.
I am proud of myself for actually making the phone call to you – recognising that we needed some help , and as a first step, your book is spot on….”
I don’t often get to chat to readers, they are usually strangers, so it was lovely to receive this email saying my book had made a difference.
